How to outline text on Photoshop files

If you want to outline the text on Photoshop files, then this can be done very easily.

This process is also termed: "converting text shapes".

Below is the Photoshop file on which we want the text outlined; the file is a normal business cards file.

 

First, choose: "Select" > "All Layers".

 

You can see if all the layers have been slected by looking at the "Layers" tab on your screen. In the below image, the selected layers are tinged with blue.

 

Next, choose: "Layer" > "Type" > "Convert to Shape".

  

Save your file, and the whole process has been completed.

 

 

Converting text or fonts to shapes has one substantial advantage — you remove all problems that you might have with fonts. the most common problem with fonts is simply that your commercial printer might not have the font that you use.
