Laser printer safe letterhead

All our A4 letterhead and A5 letterhead is offset printed in full colour. This means we use traditional presses that have large rollers, wet ink, lots of noise and heavy machinery.

Offset printing, and its use of traditional inks, has a substantial effect on A5 letterhead & A4 letterhead — the ink does not melt in a laser printer; and this simple fact means that:

  • TheOnlinePrinter's A5 and A4 letterhead is 100% laser printer safe; and
  • TheOnlinePrinter's A5 and A4 letterhead will not damage your laser printer.

Digitally printed letterhead, however:

  • Is printed using toner (a powder) and heat. So;
  • The toner will melt in your laser printer.
  • Melted toner will:
    • Damage the letterhead; and
    • Damage your laser printer.

 

Letterhead delivery

Whilst TheOnlinePrinter has locations in Campbelltown and Bankstown, two outer suburbs of Sydney, we deliver to your full colour A4 and A5 letterhead to your door.

  • If you choose TNT's Road Express service as the delivery option, then you can expect the following delivery times:
    • Sydney, regional NSW, Melbourne, Geelong, the north east corner of Victoria, Canberra, Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Adelaide — normally the day after the letterhead is dispatched, but sometimes a bit longer.
    • Hobart and regional Tasmania, regional Victoria, regional south east Queensland, regional south east South Australia — a day or two after the full colour letterhead is dispatched, and sometimes a day longer.
    • Perth, Darwin, central and northern Queensland — three or four days after the letterhead has been dispatched.
    • Regional Western Australia, regional Northern Territory and remote Australia — sometimes up to seven days.
  • Australia Post's delivery times are similar to TNT's Road Express service.
  • If you need your letterhead urgently, then select TNT's Overnight First Class delivery option — your full colour letterhead will arrive the day after it is dispatched.

 

Multiple letterhead designs

You can order up to ten different A4 letterhead and A5 letterhead designs on the one order.

However, all A4 and A5 letterhead designs must be ordered in equal quantities.

So, you could order 1,000 of each of three designs (for a total quantity of 3,000 letterhead), but you could not order 3,000 letterhead, and request that 500 be done of each of two designs and 2,000 of a third design.

 

Letterhead paper stocks

Our discount priced A4 and A5 letterhead is printed on smooth, high quality, high white 100gsm laser printer paper. You can also select 100% recycled paper. Our 100% recycled paper is 100gsm, and is 100% laser printer safe — as mentioned above.

 

Full colour and single-sided

You can order your discount priced A4 and A5 letterhead in full colour, and have that colour placed all over the page.

Please note, however, that our discount priced full colour A4 and A5 letterhead is printed:

  • On one side only (i.e.: the back will always be white); and
  • In full colour each and every time:
    • We print on large A1-sized presses (eight time the size of an A4 sheet).
    • We 'gang' lots of A4 & A5 letterhead, and DL With Comps slip jobs onto each print run — this means you only pay for a small part of the printing plates that are used.
    • If you were to use only one or two colours, then you would need to pay for an entire print run, and this is more costly than sharing a full colour print run with other jobs.

Design considerations

There are a number of considerations you should be aware of in preparing your full colour A4 and A5 letterhead files. If your full colour A5 & A4 letterhead will be printed right to the edge of the page, then you will need to know about bleeds. Please click here for instructions on how to prepare your files.
